Organizations often benefit from engaging a third-party facilitator to guide important meetings. Meeting facilitation is one of Brio Leadership's specialties. We approach facilitation collaboratively, working with you to design an agenda that meets your specific needs. As discussion leaders, we provide a non-anxious presence to guide conversations about either weighty or difficult topics. Our team building events are both fun and educational, because we use experiential exercises that get people out of their chairs and assessments that help participants understand both their own and their colleagues' personal styles. We strive to hold the group accountable to the agreed-on agenda and process while allowing participants to explore, discuss and experience the topics covered. Brio Leadership often uses techniques from Parker Palmer's Courage and Renewal work by starting with the "Touchstones" guide to group conduct and introducing poetry into the meeting.
"Kristin Robertson, CEO of Brio Leadership, did a masterful job of leading BG Staffing’s recent Leadership Meeting of 32 of our top management leaders. Our company has grown by acquisition over the years, so Kristin helped us create our first set of unified strategic statements, including our purpose, values, behaviors and vision for the company. Before the meeting, she worked with me to understand the history and current needs of the company, then planned a step-by-step process that walked the group through a highly creative effort. Interspersed in the workshop were reinforcing exercises, videos and good fun.
She lead us with grace, good humor and compassion. I recommend her to other companies that need a terrific meeting facilitator!"
Some examples of meetings we've facilitated:
"Kristin Robertson spent a day at our company helping to create a purpose statement. She facilitated a lively meeting of over 60 people. The first session, conducted without the leadership team, engaged our team to come together in just a couple of hours on what we are all about. She worked her magic and through her great facilitation, she presented several purpose statements to the leadership team later that day. By the end of the session the leadership team voted on the best one.
We are delighted with the outcome, and are now working on embedding the purpose into our culture. I highly recommend Brio Leadership's facilitation services!"

Kristin led a retreat for Parkinson Voice Project’s staff and volunteers to kick-off the New Year. Her professionalism, as well as the discussions she planned and facilitated, were engaging and relevant. Our group had an opportunity to learn more about their strengths and to set personal goals. The retreat was also effective in providing a positive bonding experience among the participants."
