Millennials, the generation of 20-somethings, are in the workplace, and they are here to change things! Just like any young generation, they are seen as young and immature, unreasonable in their demands, and entitled. To the contrary, I am very bullish on my children’s generation and their influence on corporate cultures. Millennials want what the rest of us want, but were afraid to ask. What they want includes work/life balance, a business purpose greater than just making money, meaningful and challenging work, recognition for a good job, and advancement opportunities. They seem like reasonable requests to me and ones that are right in line with the tenets of Conscious Capitalism, which I've written about before in this blog.
